I've done playthroughs with all 5 pokepi, and this game is what truly gave me my deeper love of the Doko Demo Issyo series in the first place and also what made me get a PSP. So, in the gist of it, this is a communication game where you talk to creatures called pokepi, teach them words, go with them to places, and collect random furniture from those places to decorate the room. Now, it initially sounds really simple, and there are only 5 characters, but I feel the simplicity of it allows them to really focus most on the core of this game: communication. This means that every pokepi is in-depth and well-written, dialogue repeats are nearly nonexistent, and the dialogue with the pokepi can ocassionally be really funny and suggestive, but also very serious or depressing at times, with topics such as Suzuki talking about the inevitability of death and the nature of consciousness, or Jun's troubled, possibly absuive childhood. So, it's really a breath of fresh air playing this in the modern era of "cozy games", which mostly just copy AC:NH with its very bland, safe writing. The only fault I have with this game is that I wish there were more activities to do with the pokepi, and I only rate it 4.5 stars instead of 5 because other games in the series, such as Toro on Holiday and Let's Gakkou, are even better and remedy that issue. Though, I did play this game with Google Lens as a translation tool because I don't know Japanese yet.

Una vez que entras en este juego, ya no lo juegas... Pasa a formar parte de tu vida diaria y Toro te controla a ti.
