Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors
released on Jul 30, 2002
Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors is a mixture of a card game and a turn-based fighting game for the Game Boy Color. The game is played with original in-game cards for attacks, techniques and support items and initially has only two modes trade and story. Legendary Super Warriors’ story spans from the Saiyan saga to the end of the Buu Saga. Once beaten, a battle mode is unlocked, allowing players to square off with random enemies. Once the game is beaten, any character is usable in any battle, such as Frieza vs. Cell.

Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors brings a unique twist to handheld fighting games using a card-based battle system instead of the traditional button-mashing. Fans of the series will enjoy reliving iconic story battles, and the strategic element of deck building adds depth. However, the gameplay can feel repetitive at times, and the limited roster for a Dragon Ball Z game might leave some wanting more.
Fuck the soundtrack. Gameplay is horrible as well: try to put QTEs faster than humanly possible for farming points so you could use powerful ki beams that can basically guarantee your victory (if you prepare the correct decks, that is).
Only impressive thing is that it covers the whole DBZ from Saiyan to Majin Boo arc.
