What a remarkable little Mystery Dungeon-like, what a delight it is to brave the whimsical pixel art fog of war. Just the simple act of uncovering a level as you explore it makes this an rpg I want to keep exploring.

This game's fine. I'm more posting this review as a bit of a service because the other reviews nor the synopsis mentions that this game shares assets and mechanics- but not a universe, technically?- with Genesis Superbanger Fatal Labyrinth. In that sense it is an even more basic roguelike than Fatal Labyrinth is. Sadly, the soundtrack is nowhere near as good.

Very addictive but also gets exponentially harder as it goes on. Some of the status effects the later enemies have are totally brutal, like the red orb that rusts your weapon after 2 hits or the shark that steals your food points. I had fun though.

An old-school roguelike in the vein of Mystery Dungeon. This is definitely inferior to that series, but pretty decent on its own. The main problem with this game is that it's a little too luck-based in a genre where luck is already a big factor. There are lots of items with negative effects that you can't identify without straight-up using them, for example. Worth trying if you love the genre, but otherwise skip it.
