A very small expansion for its price tag, but "The Pale Reach" delivers more of what we've come to love in Dredge.

Plot-wise, it does not impact the game in any way and is not necessary to enjoying the overall mystery.

Gameplay-wise, it offers a new island to explore, new creatures to bring up from the depths, and some more gear for your ship specifically tailored to dealing with the new environment.

100%ed it in less than 2 hours :( a little disappointing but at least it added a tiny bit more time for me to play my silly little fishing game

First, this is definitely best enjoyed after the 2nd or 3rd island in the main game. This would feel pointless if you started the DLC after finishing the main story and already having a ton of endgame upgrades.

As a mid-game addition it works great. Really just another island with another type of fish and set of gear to use and it's more of the same as the main game which is great.

The DLC story I actually enjoyed more than most of the main games' side missions. It had a good set-up and did a good job of letting you uncover the mystery without spoon-feeding it to you. The main threat in this area was better than the monsters on the main islands too and had decent mechanics to combat it.

Short, sweet and more of the same Lovecraftian goodness.

A good additive to the main game that should ABSOLUTELY be played around the half way mark of the main game.

Really short DLC with not much content at all.. It's a shame because the original game is pretty good. I wouldn't of bought this if i wasn't going for 100%

I can't really say much here that has not been said already. The Pale Reach is short, and its story is really not intriguing. I mean, the concept is interesting, but it just was not developed to the point I would have liked to have seen such. However, it is still Dredge, and more of it at that.
