Lost Temple is still a strong contender for worst final in the entire game, Stompin' Ground is a total RNG-fest, and don't even get me started on Pegwin Pool Party. Otherwise though? The rest of these games are solid and easily playable - I'm even one of the few Sum Fruit apologists out there (more logic games!!). It went on too long, and I'm not sure if I'm that into the jungle theming here - but still a decent outing overall.

What A Great Theme!
In my Season 4 review of Fall Guys, I said that the game started to become boring and it needed something new to bring it some fresh air. Season 5 does not have anything like that. But, I just loved the vibe of this.

We have a smaller content update this time, 7 new rounds. And while there are some amazing ones, there are some frustrating ones as well. We have 2 new race rounds. Treetop Tumble is the classic race of this season and it's pretty good. Jungle theme is used very well with some great frog obstacles and some reskinned obstacles.

The ending part is also very interesting. It gives you multiple options to finish the round. And the penultimate sequence with the rhinos are pretty awesome. The other race, Lily Leapers is focused around the new obstacles; lilypads.

Touching these will send you flying. Similarly, the ending has 2 paths one easy but slow and the other hard but fast. I really really like this race and it's one of the best rounds in the game in my opinion.

We have 2 new hunt modes. First one is Pegwin Pool Party. This is the solo version of Pegwin Pursuit. And I don't like this. It just feels too boring to me and I have to say, it was painful to see this round come through after some very fun and challenging rounds in that specific run.

The other hunt mode is very interesting. It's called Bubble Trouble and your goal is to collect a number of bubbles. You start in the middle of the map and there are 4 different obstacles around you. 2 of these obstacles will spawn bubbles at every moment so you need to choose.

Which one will you try? You are competing with other people for the bubbles so remember that. The obstacles are very fun and I really liked the thought process behind this round. I think this is a very nice round.

We have a new survival mode as well. Stompin' Ground is similar to Snowball Survival but instead of Snowballs we have Rhinos. If you get the 3 rhino variant, good luck because it's very luck dependent. If you get the 1 or 2 rhino variant, you got it because that's too easy.

This is an unbalanced mode unfortunately and could cause multiple rage quits. We have a new logic round, if you can believe that. Sum Fruit is it's name and you do exactly that. You count how much Fruit's are there and there are a few different types. Then the slime rises, you get on top of some blocks.

A number appears and you need to remember which type had that many fruits on the map. Then you need to go to that block and stay on it. If it's true, you passed. If not, the block will disappear causing you to fall to the slime.

And finally, we have a new final round. Lost Temple. This is pretty great on paper. You start at the beginning of a labyrinth. There are multiple gates and some of them are open, some of them are not. You need to go through this labyrinth to the final room and jump from lilypads to hold the crown.

When this round first launched, it had a very clear algorithm and if you knew that; you could win it 9 out of 10 times. Now, the algorithm is too unpredictable resulting in many people losing their way through the labyrinth and rounds taking longer than expected. This mode has some problems and many people hate it but I actually really like it.

It's foundation is great. And if they can fix the algorithm somehow, I think this will be one of if not the best final round in this game.

As a fan of treasure hunting themed things like Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones and National Treasure; Sesson 5 of Fall Guys was a blast to play. If you got bored with Fall Guys, this is not the update that will bring you back. But if you are up for more Fall Guys with a new skin, this is one of the best content updates yet. Maybe the second best after Season 2, Medieval update.

I enjoyed this season more than any other since the first one a year ago, I loved the theme and all of the new minigames and mechanics were a lot of fun. It did seem like they ran out of costume variety fairly early, and one of the mid-season updates nearly broke the game entirely, keeping this season from a higher rating.

Minigames arent bad but none are great. Theme is decent though. I feel like they tried making these too big, but it didnt work.
