Okay, Season 6. This was not good. 6 new rounds, but they are not that new. Some very exciting updates like cross progression and cross play but again, the content here is very weak.

The theme is also not that exciting. Carnavals? Or circus is the theme of this season. And we have 3 races. 3! Race is my favorite type but half of the new rounds being in one type is not good. And to be honest, we have seen much better races. Party Promenade and Pipe Dream are 2 of these races and these ones are very close to each other.

They are both built upon the new pipe mechanics. You enter from one side, it sucks you in and spits you from the other side. Pipe Dream is definitely the more interesting one because there is fast decision making in that one.

You will have multiple pipe choices and depending on your choice, you will encounter a different obstacle. Party Promenade is much more closer to a normal race.

And we have Full Tilt, the third race which is built on the 360 see saw obstacles. So it's really close to the normal See Saw round but I like this one more. Then we have 2 hunt rounds. One of them is Airtime which is my favorite round in this season.

There is a yellow space in the air and there are different obstacles that lets you spend time on air. Every second you spend in that yellow space, you will get points and if you fall down, you need to spawn again and go to the yellow space. It's really fun, really interesting. I liked this.

The other round leading light is very problematic though. Especially in it's first state. It killed the frame rate when the season launched and it was just an unpleasant time. Frame rate problems are mostly fixed after a while of course but still, this round is just not fun.

And finally, the weirdest, most different new round ever; Sweet Thieves. This round has it's own show, this can't appear in the main show. And it has a whole new round type, Invisibeans.

There are 2 teams. 8 people are thieves and 4 people are guardians. Thieves tries to get a number of candy to their base without getting caught. They can get invisible for an infinite amount of time but you won't be able to run or jump while invisible. And if you stumble upon an object, you will be visible.

While guardians has the ability to grab Thieves which will automatically send them to the jail. A thief can open the jail by pressing the one and only button in the middle of the map. But of course, most often than not it will be guarded by one or multiple guardians.

This is definitely a great round but it isn't a permanent addition. It works just like those special shows and it appears only for a limited amount of time whenever Mediatonic feels like it.

I think somehow this should have been incorporated into the main show. And I think this didn't happen because Mediatonic just doesn't care about the game anymore. We need new motivations and they failed to deliver it for a long time.

Now, they can't even do original new rounds and the one only fully original round they made can't be accessed when we want to.

Fall Guys Season 6 is probably the lowest point in this game's life, yet. I hope Mediatonic can find a way to reinvent the game. I love the mechanics, the gameplay, costumes but the problem is content. Content and a motivation to play. Come on guys, you can do this.

The games and aesthetic theming are better than season 5 and especially season 4, but half a year with only Sweet Thieves serving as a mid-season content update was just way too long of a haul. Quickly drained and became vapid after only the first or second month.

Season 6 of Fall Guys is a weird one. It added several solid mini-games to the ever growing lineup and the theme was fun with some good costumes. But it went on soooooo long, like two or three months too long. I eventually lost interest in the new costumes that were just the third variation of the same ones I already had.

It's the last season before the free-to-play monetization systems take over the game, so I hope the fun lasts. It's been a fun ride for these original 6 seasons at least.

Fall guys season 6 is honestly my favorite theme so far. the party courses are usually super fun and the pass costumes are pretty good. the taunt at the end is hilarious too.
while not new to this season, the event system is a really nice way to get free costumes as well. the current one gives you the worst (best) color i've ever seen. its also a nice way to add more challenges besides the daily ones.
overall nice season, fall guys is still fun (imo) and the party theme is super cool.
