I feel conflicted about this game.

Yes, it is pretty much two point hospital in space in terms of gameplay and UI, but there's so much more polish in this game than two point. Aliens have fleshed out lore with unique traits that you have to accommodate, the animations inside the rooms during treatments are super satisfying to hear and watch, and the voice acting is great. The writing and humor is a personal hit or miss, but if you like the humor of dungeon keeper games, they've 100% kept that wit throughout this game. It's easy to see that the devs put a LOT of time, love, and care into this game. The atmosphere they've created is close to, if not perfect.

In terms of gameplay however, they do expand upon the hospital sim a bit, but not much. I just wish there was more rooms like the projectile medicine rooms, which have unique layouts instead of a regular square room so players can have unique layouts. I also wish one room could hold more than one doctor, it would allow for fun layouts. While the story isn't super long, there is a lot of bang for your buck value in terms of gameplay. Getting 5 stars on all levels will take a while, and there's unlockables for each star you get. It's an alright incentive to keep playing in sandbox, but I wish there was more.

In all, galacticare is a fun hospital sim. It's easily better than two point hospital, and I had a lot of fun playing it. This isn't a game you grind in one sitting, but rather a game you play in hour increments. It doesn't look like this game is going to pop off, but it's easily a satisfying management simulator for those that want it.

If you told me this was a Two Point Studios game set in space, I'd believe you.
