An easy to play, hard to master game, never managed to get a platinum.

Good enough arcade game to waste a couple hours playing; not difficult enough to get you stuck, but just difficult enough to maybe make you reconsider your strategies. The wraparound stuff doesn't really do much to switch up the gameplay but it was a pretty decent addition nonetheless.

The 3D gimmick doesn't seem to add anything meaningful to the gameplay. All it did was make me accidentally run into stuff on the adjacent sides.

It was alright but I prefer the Stardust games.

I play a lot of twin-stick shooters, and it's easy to see why this series is kind of the mainstream breakout hit, the pillar of the genre. It's beautiful and very challenging. To be honest, a little too challenging for me, I'll be the first to admit I'm not very good at these even though I love them. But if you like twin-sticks, this is a must-play.
