Hercules: The Legendary Journeys for the Game Boy Color is a valiant attempt to bring the action and mythology of the television series to the handheld platform. However, it suffers from clunky controls, repetitive gameplay, and a frustrating level design. While the promise of linking up with Xena: Warrior Princess is a novel idea, it's not enough to save this game from feeling like a Herculean task to get through.
