I have no idea how much time I spent lvling up my stats on this game but it was a lot, I was 11 or 12 when I played this for the first time, it was my introduction to "manager games". I thought it was a high seas game with a lot of naval warfare and pirates, and it is, but sailing and fighting pirates isn't the most entertaininig thing to do. You manage your ship, your crew, your trading and your missions. You actually want to avoid fighting pirates. As a kid I thought it was cool because they actually allowed to you traffic drugs like opium, but it was also the most profitable business so they teached me a lesson I guess? Awesome game. The only thing preventing it from being a 5 stars is the lack of an ending, the game just goes on and on and they expect you to delete all your progress over and over again to complete it, like a forced New Game+. But other than that it's an awesome game.
