Higurashi Daybreak is a doujin game developed and distributed by Twilight Frontier with the cooperation of 07th Expansion. Unlike the original sound novels, the game is a two-on-two versus third-person shooter based on the system of the Mobile Suit Gundam VS Series. Characters from "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" utilize weapons such as bats and hatchets in battles set in Hinamizawa. The scenario is an original work by Ryukishi07 and does not feature the horror elements present in the source material. Despite being a doujin game, it employs the same voice actors as the original drama CDs and anime adaptation, which is unusual for fan-made games.

Playing alone, boring, mid, snore, story is fan service at its peak and therefore not for everyone.
Playing online with someone across the country on shitty wifi? Peak, kino, screaming at the top of my lungs, I will kill you, cinema, umineko has nothing on this gameplay.
Ooishi just grabs you with one hand and you stay as stiff as a pole until thrown, we need more grapplers with no animations.

Oh, well. Since I played all versions of this at this point I can go through all of them.

It's a shitty fighting arena game with an awful camera and serviceable controls. Tried to get it for the story alone, but it forces to go through that...guess I have YouTube as my only way, then.

Still more lore-accurate than Gou and Sotsu
