a solid remake that definitely had a low budget, but was still pretty fun at the end. The game's a bit more satisfying to control alongside being a bit more forgiving than the original with the abundance of collectibles for extra lives and fruit recovering health.

The bosses were a bit annoying compared to the original though.

two bonk games in a day....

tried to keep my expectations low, as it IS a remake of one of my favorite games ever. so what did i think?

i liked it! the art style is cute and goofy. love the little sound effects that show up on screen when you walk or hit an enemy. what i didn't love, though, is the bosses. one of my favorite things about the original game is how you can easily break some of the boss battles and (admittedly) make them a bit more doable than they would normally be...this version, for the most part, takes that away, which results in more than a couple frustrating boss fights.

HOWEVER, i still liked it. the ost is one of my favorites ever and i found myself humming along as i played for almost the entire game. if ya like bonk, i recommend giving it a look.

A low-budget, yet artistically adorable remake, that removes the unnecessary fluff of the original, but the bosses are awful & it saves only when you finish the adventure.
