It's more of the same but I liked that it explored Chinese mythology as we rarely see that in video games. Played in Mandarin for added immersion.
If you enjoyed the base game and you want more of the same gameplay, but in a different mythology and a nice 5-7h contained story and world, then you will love this DLC. I really liked the pacing of this DLC and how it made you visit most of the locations just by following the story. Very well crafted world and progression. It's not getting a perfect score because of that missable achievement, which is always a no-no.
Una versión en miniatura del juego base que repite prácticamente todo lo que hacía el original pero ambientado en una nueva mitología.
Si quieres más de lo mismo, es estupendo, si estás esperando algo muy diferente, no lo vas a encontrar aquí. Las diferencias y novedades son pocas y no suponen cambios muy drásticos, pero el conjunto funciona estupendamente.

If you want more of the same, it's great, if you're looking for something very different, you won't find it here. The differences are few and they aren't drastic changes, but the overall product works like a charm.

Immortals Fenyx Rising, like many open worlds before it, had a bloat problem. It wasn’t as packed as other open-world games before it, but its landscapes and objectives grew repetitive as the hours dragged on. Adding more to a game with enough is always a tricky predicament, which is the same predicament that the Myths of the Eastern DLC finds itself in. This expansion does have a fresh new mythology, but it sadly also has the same old gameplay.
