It feels like there is a weird trend with most NetherRealm games, they would have some of the best combat and mechanics in fighting games, yet crumbles at the mere site of either a good story or additional content. For injustice 2 I am insulted by this one compared to others, like they take this very interesting concept that could go different directions, but instead makes the story either pointless or just ugly, that is including the character model, this game should be a barrel of fun when it comes to having these comic book characters especially for DC, yet when the characters are used in story mode, it feels like the writers spits on any ideas that they could do for the story and ends up killing the best characters. Not to mentions the terrible stuff added to it to make it redundant like the gears and the multiverse events, those are the most tedious things ever added to a game, just awful. To round up my feelings, this game is just... Mid, can be fun, but a lot of struggle.

Story is really strong in this one, I still absolutely love the entire injustice concept.

The different armor pieces with different stats is kind of annoying, I do wish I could just mix & match cosmetics without any change in base power but I get you gotta try new things

Loot box thingys also blow but I have some fond memories with this game so it was nice to play it again so I’ll add a half star on for nostalgia
