Iridion II is somewhat of a gaming history curiosity, with this and its predecessor being some of the only shmups on the gba, and with pre-rendered 3D visuals at that. The isometric perspective reminds me a lot of the vertically-scrolling stages in Axelay. Iridion II is quite long for shmup standards, having 15 stages and a partial boss rush at the end. There are a lot of interesting gimmicks and bosses in these stages but the sheer quantity kinda causes everything to blend together in my mind. This game is more a 3 star gameplay-wise but the unique visuals and boppin' soundtrack bump it up for me.

It’s a fine shooter, but dang it if this isn’t one of the coolest looking games I’ve ever seen. It’s like the weird made-up in-universe fictional game the kids would be playing in a Pixar movie about aliens.
Imagina um jogo tentando tirar o máximo do gba, só quê ele não é 3d, mas ele usa profundade 3d em certos aspectos, uma qualidade até bem alto de sprites, e uma grande galeria de estágio, não demais nem pouco mas o suficiente para um desafio, e unicio problema real dele é quê ele usa password(era os anos 2000, password é um erro).
Você tem iridion 2, abandonando a formula do primeira e focando em algo mais "básico" eles fizeram um jogo muito bom, tem um bom sistema para iniciantes com barra, porém essa barra não torna você invencível, bastante inimigos, um grande sistemas de armas, todas com upgrade e se você pode trocar de arma e ter duas ou mais armas com upgrade para trocar durante as partidas, a bomba é útil porém também não é absoluta.
Em resumo, se você gosta de shumups, jogue iridion 2! Você vai provavelmente vai se divertir bastante!
