The best thing to come out of Ys III Wanderers from Ys (look up the first level theme and then "A Searing Struggle" from Ys III)

Shoutouts to Bob Lennon

Maybe the best “opening cutscene” in the 16-bit era? Absolutely insane and hilarious. The art is wild and the tunes are bumpin; too bad it feels terrible to play and unseen enemies rush in to insta-kill poor ole placed-exactly-in-the-center-of-the-screen-with-no-time-to-react James Tiberius Power.
