Jurassic Park: Builder was an Apple and later Android and Facebook application produced by Ludia in 2012. It was a construction and management simulation game in which the player built a Jurassic Park featuring extinct animals. It coincided with the release of Jurassic Park 3D and was considered a mobile counterpart to Jurassic Park III: Park Builder and Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. Three kinds of parks were available. Jurassic Park, located on Isla Nublar, featuring dinosaurs and other Mesozoic animals. Aquatic Park, located on a seabed featuring extinct aquatic animals. Glacier Park, located in Patagonia, featuring extinct animals from the Cenozoic era along with some Mesozoic crocodilians.

I've completed this game some years ago (before the DLCs), it has good missions, good customization content, and the chance to have an aquatic park and a glacial park with other extinct animals besides dinosaurs is a fascinating idea. The tournament mode is pretty cool and it's worth participating in a battle every now and then. The downside -as always in mobile games- are the microtransactions. Good game overall.

Simple, loaded with microtransactions, and generally suffers from the stench of mobile game.

However, there was a shocking amount of content here, with lots of dinosaurs, plenty of missions, tons of different buildings and decorations, three parks, a tournament mode, a battle mode, and the ability to evolve dinos. I played this game for years before it was eventually shut down, it was actually one of the best "builder" games I ever encountered.

The idea to add an aquatic and glacier park was really nice as it kept you spending earnings to unlock more things.

It wasn't perfect, but for a mobile-based licensed builder? Truly remarkable. Sad to see it go...
