KORG DS-10 is a music creation program for the Nintendo DS that emulates the Korg MS range of synthesizers. The DS-10 creates sound with two analogue synthesizer emulators, each with two Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (the Korg MS-10 had only one VCO). The VCOs feature a sawtooth, a pulse (with a non-modifiable pulse width), a triangle and a noise waveform. There is also a four-part drum machine that uses the same sound creation techniques as the synthesizers. The sounds made by each of the synthesizer emulators are modified using virtual knobs to change the value of standard synthesizer parameters such as cutoff frequency and waveform shape. Additionally there is a screen where users can patch certain parameters to be modified by an LFO, the envelope generator, or VCO2.

went from "how cool could it be" to "damn I might write some stuff" real fast

For gamers who want a challenging fun experience with a good story

The Korg games on Nintendo systems are like the best kept secrets. There's at least one on every Nintendo handheld since the DS (including the Switch) that really give you a suite of features to play with. The Korg DS-10 is the simplest of these releases, but do not discount it because this is a full fledged synthesizer.

This one is my favorite DS experiences due to it's simplicity, yet complex it's enough to create cool patterns that you can plug into a DAW or what have you via AUX cable and do with it as you please. Extremely fucking cool.

I have a physical copy of this for fun, but I encourage anyone who can emulate DS games on a touch pad of some kind to check this out. It's novelty only in the screen size of the systems you work with.

my favorite xiu xiu album was composed on this!

what the fuck!
