Sweet and Short is how I would describe Lip Trip. An VN which I was quite curious since SukeraSumero pitched the whole Omegaverse setting with the game announcement. For one it's an almost uncharted territory within yuri standards. To my knowledge we see it more explored with manwa, which two examples that comes to mind are "Spiteful Affection" and currently ongoing "Your Scent is a Little Sweet". Both expressing their own takes into the whole Omegaverse setting and what it can offer from different sorts of values, or some ancient folk tale thought-out.

Back to the topic on hand, SukeraSumero also has their merits designing an Omegaverse setting inside an office daily life environment where all can follow along without the need to stop the story in order to explain every single concept that pop's up. But rather are brought up as depicts values and struggles within society norms, ended up being quite endearing to my eyes to the way it was all presented.

The only caviar I leave out of this review is the length, cause while I do love a lot of what I got. I would be lying if I said I wouldn't prefer it to breath for a little longer. Luckily the addition of Chigusa Minori works as saving grace, and I hope with their next project they let cooking longer. Thus, it sums my thoughts with Lip Trip.

It's not terrible, it's just a yuri omegaverse setting which is something really underexplored so it's mostly a shallow attempt at tapping an untapped market. I'm not gonna pretend I know much about omegaverse. Because of its BL focus as a genre I'm just not knowledgeable about it. I read one fanfic with a lesbian pairing I liked in this kind of setting and from then on I've solely enjoyed omegaverse within the confines of my own fantasies. I don't know what the standard agreed upon premises are with it for the most part. But long story short, I really love the idea of lesbian omegaverse. There's just not a lot of it.

However this game didn't really satisfy my itch for it unfortunately. The large problem was that I couldn't download the patch for the R18 scenes, which is a major bummer since like always Steam has a dick up its ass about ero yuri. There were reviews mentioning the patch contains a trojan, and while I did my research and am 90% sure it's a false positive, it wasn't a risk I was taking. So as you can imagine an omegaverse without smut is kind of.... losing the entire appeal. There's also some aspects of omegaverse that I enjoy and aren't touched upon in this game but the Backloggd review section doesn't need to hear about my kinks so that's all I'll say.

And that's all I really can say about this game. I'm not entrenched within the omegaverse fandom or subculture or what have you, and I wasn't able to experience the complete game as intended. It's certainly not a masterpiece but it doesn't come off as abysmal to me either. But since I have a very skewed perception of the game, average is where the rating and my feelings will stay.

its a short read, its nice but you can really tell there were concepts that they couldn't explore further either because of the time constraint or just wasnt the focus of the story

Ok, listen. As an adult lesbian, I was genuinely excited when I heard about this VN, mainly because the Yuri genre tends to be saturated with innocent and wholesome schoolgirl fluff, and honestly, I'm just tired of it. I was thrilled to see someone finally tackling the relatively unexplored realm of Yuri omegaverse. Unlike the hugely popular BL omegaverse genre, larger-scale Yuri omegaverse projects are practically non-existent.

But the VN left me with mixed feelings - it was both disappointing and great at the same time. The pacing was breakneck, rushing to introduce players to its vision of an omegaverse setting, which felt pretty basic compared to other omegaverse works. It seemed like ideas were thrown around and plot points were set up, only to either remain unresolved or fall flat upon execution. Despite this, the writing was still very enjoyable and refreshing.

However, the biggest letdown was the VN's length. It was incredibly short, much shorter than their previous games. I finished it in about 1.5h, leaving me feeling like the game ended just as it was getting started. Which is frustrating, because I really liked the relationship between the two leads.

Overall, it's a great Yuri VN with excellent artwork and character design that tries to stand out from generic schoolgirl-themed ones, but is soured by its short length.

it's reaally cute considering it's abo media, i find it too short for my liking tho (i finished it in an hour) esp when compared to oshirabu, i wish they gave it more time to explore chizu and rino's relationship (shrine scene onwards) but as it is it's cute and the bgm is really catchy, lots of CGs too. i wish this gets a fandisc later on. yuriiiiii.
