Bit too easy compared to it's predecessor, I just completely blitzed through this one. This is the first game I've played in years that I've thought was too short. And not in a "man I wish there was more" sense, in a "that's it?" sense. They also removed the leaderboard for some reason? This removes any and all motivation to improve your times, even though this game seems to be built around that idea still?

there is cool stuff in this though. soundtrack is still nice and the new jump lends itself much better to performing skips. massive fan of all the new mechanics introduced. especially when you teleport to the enemies. it's really cool, kinda reminds me of this hidden gem called neon white.

The massive jump you have in this game makes traversal to get lower times kinda fun but makes "time stars" stupidly easy, the difficulty in general is also non existant compared to the first game and overall i prefer how the first game moves

this is like the first lovely planet except its actually possible to beat it and the music is a bit worse

This game is clearly a massive step down in terms of difficulty compared to the original. One of my favourite parts of LP1 was being walled on a difficult stage for a bit & finally overcoming it. There were many stages that were a challenge to get 3 stars on. I think this happened maybe ONCE while trying to get 3 stars on every stage in this game. This might be a positive to those who found the original too difficult, but I was hoping for more challenge, not less.

The ying-yang variant of each stage was also a big let down for me. After smashing through the first 5 worlds with no trouble at all & eventually discovering these extra stages, I assumed that all the difficulty I was looking for was tucked away here, but the majority of the stages remain basically unchanged. I noticed faster projectiles & some different hazard placements, but that's it. Nothing that made going through the same stages again that much different or worthwhile.

The music is excellent, just like the first game. Atleast 2 of the tracks are remixes from LP1, which is cool, but with such a small soundtrack to start with I think completely new tunes would have been a better idea.

Overall this a great game but I can't imagine ever recommending it over the original. It feels like this is the one that should have come out first with the more challenging LP1 being the sequel, because anyone coming from LP1 after mastering it isn't going to feel very satisfied.

Simples e perfeito.

lovely planet 2 improves a LOT on where the first game was deficient; the speed has been ramped up a lot which makes it a lot more fun for the player, aiming is slightly better and more intuitive (though retains the irritating thing of making you eyeball it despite the lack of reticle and aiming stance making aiming a matter of complete luck in this fast paced game where luck is not a good thing), the aesthetic is a bit better, and it feels less...actively cruel? my fave change is the game actually letting you basically ibex across terrain which makes 3-starring levels much better and more a case of figuring things out more than having to figure out the "intended" route. i think this is a sequel that's better than the original in every way imo
