Macross Plus is a vertical-scrolling shooting arcade game released only in Japan on the CPS-2 arcade system board. Loosely based on the Macross Plus franchise, it was developed and published by Banpresto (video games operation absorbed by Bandai Namco Games April 1, 2008) in December 1996.

Gameplay: Good
Story: I haven't watched the Anime, so I don't know. lol
Controls: Good
Graphics: Good for its time
Length: Has 7 Stages, so it's great.

Again another fine SHUMP but with a Macross Plus coat of paint this time around. The visuals have definitely taken a big step up. The sprites here are amazing and the addition of a missile lock on is pretty cool. That being said, I feel like this is something I don't really need to go back to. It's fun enough and definitely something Macross Plus fans should play for the experience.
