It's not that bad, or even a little unique.

I don't know how bad the frame drops were in the original game, but the vita version is playable

Well, have you played DMC5? When you use Nero, you can jump in the air up to four times, and when you use Dante, you can dash in the air up to two times.
And in this game, you can jump six times and infinitely dash in the air, walk on the wall, and even fly freely. To be honest I've never seen such high flexibility of the character in another action game.

In addition, it also has a very interesting combat system. You need to kill minions to get aura, which is an important means for you to increase damage and recovery. Of course, minions can occasionally be a threat to you. The aura system adds depth to the boss battles.

Did I mention it's a boss rush game? All twelve bosses are designed to be very interesting and challenging. And every time you beat one you get a new weapon or ability. This means you can plan the route you think is the best way to defeat the boss as you would with the Megaman series, which offers replayability.

It does have many faults and is very rough. And you only need two hours to complete it. But it's still more fun than many boring and cumbersome big-budget 3A games. Not all games need a twenty-minute cutscene.

If you are a fan of arcade games, give it a try. Even if you think it's trash it won't waste much of your time
