Frosting meets flowers as you race to get the most stars (and sabotage your opponents) on the Peach’s Birthday Cake board from the original Mario Party game. Or watch the countdown that unleashes Bowser Coin Beam and hold onto those coins on the Space Land board. The tides can turn quickly in Mario Party, so stay vigilant, partygoers. It's an almost tragic missed opportunity that this hasn't had any DLC support. Mechanically this is the peak of the Mario Party formula. Nintendo should just build one of these games as a content platform more than a sequel. New game modes, maps and minigames are added to the existing game rather than in sequels. More granular controls for minigame sets would be great, like a 1 to 1 checklist even. Of the five maps one of them has to be fucking Peach's Birthday Cake? Where the hell is Luigi's Engine Room?
