A combat-heavy racer from developer Supersonic, played from a top-down perspective. Mashed features four players racing at one time either in teams of two or every man for himself. The 13 different race environments are spread over various terrain including ice, sand and highways. An assortment of weapons are used to batter opponents into submission and gain rank in the race. However, once another car is blasted off road the player will still be able to target the race leader with air missile strikes. Developed for the European market for Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC.

It would be an alright game if it wasn't broken. As someone who completed and got a win on every level, I can say from experience that only the first third or even quarter of the game is enjoyable. Later on, as the maps get more complex the true colors of the broken reveal themselves, you should pray that the level doesn't have a ramp or a moving platform of some sort as even just by touching it you'll fly off and lose the round.
The same can be said with the AI of the game, I could find little difference between the difficulty of expert and rookie on the opponent settings and just the way they act, some, instead of racing try to take you out instead thinking it's a derby car crash or something and to add there's a possibility of experiencing the same flying off physics just by touching another car.
On the other hand, the bugs also help you sometimes, with opponents randomly being ahead and just waiting for you to catch up to them, or them driving, hitting and getting stuck at the first object to dodge. Or one of them taking out the other opponent for you.
During those times it's amusing, but all in all, it's a rollercoaster of a game to finish as there's no skill involved but the game mechanic rng. I've beaten it, but at what cost..? I might just be a masochist involving myself in that.
