Men in Black: The Series for the Game Boy Color is a side-scrolling action game that puts you in the shoes of Agent J, blasting aliens and keeping Earth safe. While the premise is fun and the animated cutscenes are a nice touch, repetitive levels and uninspired enemy design bring down the overall experience.
In 2000, Kids WB held a call-in contest, through which I won a teal Game Boy Color, and this MIB game. It was the first time I had ever won anything in my life, and it felt really special to walk into school with a GBC that would've normally been out of my family's financial reach. It allowed me to try out GBC-Only games like the Zelda Oracle games, and Pokemon Crystal. When life drops a win like that in your lap, you cherish the memory forever.
