Merrily Perilly is a game about crisis. You play as Perry, a severely dehydrated man who stumbles into a remote village in search of help, but the inhabitants respond with strange detachment to your trouble. You may think that the nearby fountain is a safe means to quench your dire thirst, but you would soon find yourself in search of aid for a snake bite. And before you know it, you will be chased by bees, fending off bears, cursed by gypsies, and most likely on fire.

I knew little about this game, but I picked it up during a sale for the cheap price tag. It was totally worth it.

It's an adventure, puzzle game where you play a man that enters a village dehydrated. Your goal is to juggle perils to find an ending. An example of a route could be: you're dehydrated, you drink from the fountain, you're now poisoned, you visit the hospital, you now have diarrhea, you find an outhouse, etc. You are constantly on a timer for the perils. If time runs out, you lose.

It's a simple concept, but it's done really well. I love the art style too. Writing this review makes me want to check out the studio's other games.

interesting game concept but didn't really keep my attention

This was a delight that had me smiling at my Switch like a fool. It's like a puzzle roguelike walking simulator with an adorable art style and fun music. It's super simple to pick up for casual play. In fact, there's zero tutorial. You just get dropped in and have to solve your problems asap. It also has great replay value for those who want to figure out its multiple endings. It took me about 30min I think to get my first ending. Got it on sale for $2.49 and it was absolutely worth it already.

Puzzle game where you need to figure out the correct sequence of events to go through to achieve multiple endings. The dynamic soundtrack is good, too. Very short, though - lasts only an hour or two.
