Mia Hamm Soccer Shootout

released on Oct 27, 2000

This time, it's girl power that's taking the ball into the net. Mia Hamm Soccer Shootout is the first game to take on the increasingly popular sport of women's professional soccer. In this game, you can play a whole tournament, or pick it up for some simple pass-and-shoot. A total of 32 international teams are represented. This game is a port of Telefoot Soccer 2000, which was a port of the Nintendo 64 game under the same name, which itself was the port of Michael Owen's WLS 2000.

Mia Hamm Soccer Shootout offers a simple yet surprisingly engaging take on the beautiful game for the Game Boy Color. While it lacks the depth of modern soccer simulations, it delivers quick arcade-style fun and some decent customization options with its selection of international teams. If you're searching for nostalgic, portable soccer action, this is a charming option.
