A vertical shoot em up game where your quick firing forward basic shot does very little damage to enemies and is meant more for shooting down enemy missiles while your main attack is the ring generated around your ship that automatically targets enemies in its area with homing missiles. Powerups drop that allow you to lock on more missiles and to increase the size of the ring around your ship. It's a short game with seven stages. Most of the stages are fairly straightforward but there is some changes near the end where the environment can become more of a hazard and turrets are placed on the opposite end of a wall requiring you to advance on them a bit more so your missiles don't turn too early and end up crashing into walls. It requires a more aggressive style of play where you get close to enemies and constantly fire out barrages of your missiles, combos are made by locking onto multiple enemies at once and by keeping a chain of kills going before you lose it. Good soundtrack. Very easy on the normal setting, expert is significantly more difficult with a bit too much going on at once on the screen where I found it hard to even get good look at what was threatening me, hard mode gave a good balance.

The PC version has a very minimalist art style to it that is fairly unique, while the Switch version is fairly generic looking. The developer seems to release PC versions of the game first and later works with a publisher and artist to release a Switch version with upgraded graphics. Unfortunately the updated graphics aren't added as an option to the PC releases but the original style has its own charm to it and it's unfortunate the Switch version doesn't see a mode for that style.

an easier 1CC but a good time.

it’s interesting playing Terarin’s games as they all focus in on and expand on shared mechanics. I’m playing out of release order but it’s cool to see the pieces as they come together
