Your adventure involves you trying to get the island town back to its former glory as well as finding the villain responsible for the crime. You improve the town and get it back up by playing minigames such as Kayaking, Stargazing, and Balloon Present; and by placing decoratives around town and make the town look lively and beautiful again. Meanwhile, as you improve the town, clues are revealed and you unravel scenes in the story that will eventually lead you to the identity of the criminal.

Very cute game and a childhood favorite of mine, so I'll try not to give a 2008 DS game 2024 standards LOL
It reminded me a lot of animal crossing, but sort of stripped down to its bare-bones. I finished it WAY faster than 7-year-old me ever did, which surprised me, but there are still plenty of post-game activities to occupy myself with.

i still think about this game all the time. sooo cute, many many hours spent playing as a kid, i loved finding all the different combos of essences to create new stuff
if anyone on here has completed this game and remembers where to find the scientists robot dog late game please let me know because i’ve played through about six times and stopped at that point every time because i’ve never been able to find it and not a single walkthrough ever helped me x

A weirdly paced slice of life experience. Packs some fun mechanics but has some odd story elements.
I loved the first mysims game as a kid, but then I played this and got softlocked from playing. RIP my villagers.

Very cool concept I wished for a synthesiser gun or whatever so bad. Extremely fun. The kayaking minigame score req to progress the main story was evil, I got humbled so hard when my brother did it 2nd try. Crocodile in zoo funny and awesome free him
