I remember this gave me nightmares as a child, too! Those pixellated knives on the bed! Goddamn it!

I give it points for at least having a graphical component, but it's a very cumbersome mess.

Easily the worst murder mystery plot ever written.
Does a lot of unusual and counter-intuitive things, which makes sense considering its originality, but it's mostly playable. Not really sure how the forest worked though, had to look that up.

It's interesting as one of the first games to have graphics, but it didn't age well. It's a text adventure and the commands and interactivity are very frustrating.
Also after wandering around the house for a while, it will get dark and you won't be able to see anything if you didn't find a candle somewhere until then, which is just annoying and definitely not beginner-friendly.

It couldn't hold my attention for very long (around 40mins) until I got sick of feeling like I'm not getting anywhere.
