awful, do not waste your money

Unfortunately I played this one.

prolly the highest rating this has ever gotten from someone not paid by the company . but. hear me out.
the deirdre/nancy is insane. i will overlook a lack of puzzles and horrible graphics and bad navigation and a stupid plot for them. and francy.
if this didnt have deirdre or francy it would be a 2.5 for sure

I really do appreciate Her trying something different, but they have a very niche fanbase that doesn't care so much for change. When you have 30 games of a similar playstyle (point and click) on the same engine, then yes they are not going to easily accept something so different. Especially since this is the first game with a new voice actor. The VA was too cheery and too preppy. The inclusion of Frank and Joe and supposedly start of what can be an overarching plot in the games is pretty awesome.
The story for this one is very...meh. I think Her changed a lot about it after some complaints from their leaks about it. I don't know. Going from their greatest modern game to this was a let down. The puzzles seemed way too easy.

Why are there protestors in a small town like this?

Utterly disloyal to the franchise I grew up with. There was a charm in the simplicity of the 2D point-and-click format. Why go try and Life-Is-Strange-ify something that was working just fine? The sad thing is, I pre-ordered this game, and got it the week it came out. But I put off playing it until now, because I knew it would be upsetting. And I was right! But somehow I wasn't prepared for this big of a letdown! :')
