Counter-Strike was undoubtedly the king of twitchy military multiplayer shooters during the early 2000s. While none of its imitators escaped from its shadow, there were some worthy competitors such as Global Operations and Tactical Ops. In contrast, U.S. Special Forces: Team Factor and this game are good examples of Counter-Strike clones that got terrible reviews and sank without a trace. Today, the performance issues that critics had are no longer a problem, but in the absence of a multiplayer community all that's left are twelve Rainbow Six terrorist hunt-style single player missions. Though the enemy AI is laughably poor, the game's assault rifles and shotguns feel pretty good and some levels seem like they would have been very decent multiplayer maps. I can't imagine why anyone would play this today (except out of morbid curiosity), but I'll admit to being entertained by it for an evening.
