I think this might low-key be one of the best hockey games ever made. Much like Madden, the NHL series was better before it switched to the Frostbite engine. The skating and stick handling just feel good in NHL 19. You can score in different ways. The pace is just right, not too fast or too slow. The NBC presentation makes the game feel authentic.

I do have a few gripes. As is the case with recent EA Sports games, some of the game's main modes are no longer playable because EA shut the servers down. I would have loved to check out World of Chel and use outdoor rinks, even if it was just against a cpu opponent.

Franchise mode is serviceable but a little plain. Be a Pro is very basic and uninspired, but at least it's not filled with repetitive cut scenes like the current games.

The recent NHL games aren't bad, but I still prefer the gameplay in 19. This was a pleasant surprise.

AND NOW MY FAVOURITE COLOUR IS BLUEEEEE

Yeah its like nhl 18, played a lot of GM mode. Would fleece the fuck out of the AI. Last NHL I ever played, need a PC port

Broke too many controllers playing this game
