Very cute, very cool, relaxed game. Surprisingly well-oiled systems if you hit it more than once - having no online resources and intuiting how it clicks yourself is really satisfying

This game is ridiculously adorable, like it's just a whole maelstrom of cute. Atlus should finally give this game an official translation, call it wholesome or something, pretend someone with genders made it, and they'd be running all the way to the bank with the amount of money this whimsy-core nicefest would make with all the depressed burned out idiots like me.

Just look at how cute and pretty the pixel art is! It looks like those pixel art mock up you see constantly on Twitter, but it's like, a real game. And everyone is nice and fun to interact with, except for the villagers who think the protagonist is a witch, but like, that's secret queer theming so that's ok, and you end up befriending them anyway.

At its core, it Is just a very basic Atelier-like, especially similar to the more stripped-down entries in the series, like Atelier Marie. But there's nothing wrong with that. I enjoy Atelier games, and this is a pretty good aesthetic take on the genre. And the time-magic gimmick, while not mechanically revolutionary, does add a bit of personality to the general play.

I dunno, I did two runs of this, and got the bad ending both times. Because I'm really bad at this Atelier stuff. But that was like, 12 solid hours of cutesy fun, so I can't say I have anything against this game. I'll probably give it another go and see if I can at least get the normal ending, but I don't think I'll get there. It's good.

its perfect [: super cute characters chill lil shops to hang out in whats not to love. Very rarely in games do I ever just craft and create items just for the sake of seeing what happens! While this isn't exactly a part of that series, you should probably play one of the beginner friendly atelier games first otherwise you might have some trouble knowing how to optimize/prepare for fights. play it!! one of the best jrpgs on the ds!!

super cute so far. slow start but the dialogue is fun

This game is pretty cute, but not my type

I really like it! It's charming and sweet and has absolutely gorgeous music and the crafting system is a ton of fun and Nora is just really easy to root for. As a first crack at trying something like Atelier, it's really excellent and I'm super glad that the fan translation let me check it out after all this time.

That said it is HARD at times and doesn't really have the firm grasp on how to make difficulty feel fair that the Etrian Odyssey games (made by much of the same team) do, so some fights legitimately feel kinda unfair. With one particularly rough encounter taking place in one of the game's major towns, blocking you from using it until you can beat it, which can lock you out of a lot of valuable facilities.

But it's earnest and pleasant throughout, and it's really hard to not love it in spite of its missteps. It's a shame it never got any sequels or re-releases that could've cleaned up those issues, but if it ever does, I'll be there day one. For now, I'm just really happy that a game I've wanted to play for years is finally accessible in English.
