This was the first ever FMV game I played. I don't think I want to play anymore. The acting is YouTube Shorts level bad. The "gameplay" consists of you switching in-game screens to affect the story making it a choose-your-own-adventure thing. However, there isn't any indication of what changes, and the only time you know something is changing is when a jarring notification pops up and rips you out of the experience. I don't have anything nice to say about this. I don't even want to finish it. The one aspect of this game you control sucks balls, and the other two components, the acting, and story, would give Tommy Wiseau a run for his money.

I really loved Her Story, so I was excited to hear that the same creator was working on a new FMV game. Unfortunately, #WarGames did nothing for me.

It's a story about a group of hackers using their skills for activism, with an extremely large dose of heavy-handed social commentary. Several video streams play simultaneously and the story seems to branch based on which stream you focused on at specific moments by hovering your mouse cursor over them. There's no real indication as to what might have happened differently had you focused on a different video, or even why watching one screen should affect anything, given that you have no direct interaction with the scenes.

Maybe I missed something, but there also doesn't appear to be a strong throughline between the stories - just a collection of generally unrelated events about hacktivism.
