A mod for Pac-Man
Pac-Man Plus is an Action game, developed and published by Bally Midway, which was released in 1982. Gameplay is nearly identical the original Pac-Man. However, the game features new gimmicks that make the game harder, such as faster speed, disappearing mazes, and invisible enemies.

If you thought that was a little too easy or just wanted to mix it up a little bit, try this one. It’s not better than the original, but it’s cool that it exists.

I’d like to know the mental gymnastics behind the guy at midway who said “alright so you know how we improved upon the first game with new mazes and cutscenes and changed how the fruit works? and then namco made their own sequel that completely changes the game while keeping it familiar? yeah screw all that let’s just do the first game again nobody will care”
if this was the first sequel I wouldn’t be nearly as critical but it was like the third or whatever so why didn’t you do this before ms pac man. what
