Played this for a video I was working on and yeah it's bad. Supposedly this, Miracle Space Race, XS Airboat Racing, and ATV Racers were all one game called Merlin Racing for the NUON. That game played and looked a lot more like Diddy Kong Racing on a budget. I'm guessing they split the game due to the size as the NUON used DVDs.
I hold the current WR of Any% Easy (both PAL and NTSC tracks) and this game is not that great trust me. It is made in 2004 (you think that 2004 oh wow FarCry, GTA SA, NFSU2) and it is for the PS1 so yeah let´s play this game from my childhood and it´s WRONG. Don´t play it and I only played it because and only because I wanted a shitty WR from this game. Even I´m god at this game trust me you cannot beat my times in anytime soon KARMA WON´T GET ME. anyway why the game is so bad? the tracks are boring as hell the powers are generic, broken and it´s worse than blue shell since YOU DONT KNOW HOW YOU CAN GET HIT told by a speedrunner called Luso. atleast the musics are... decent at max. also please don´t buy this game.
