Rayman Raving Rabbids is a 2D sidescrolling platform game that was released exclusively for the Game Boy Advance in 2006. With a traditional adventure story and gameplay that is almost identical to that of Rayman 3 on the Game Boy Advance, it stands in sharp contrast to the other iterations of Rayman Raving Rabbids, almost all of which are minigame-based party games. It is the last game in the Rayman series to be released for the Game Boy Advance, and the only Rabbids game for the system.

This is one of the first games I have ever played in my life (yeah my first console was a GBA, I was kinda late compared to others of my age), so it is fun to think that one of the first things I saw in my gaming experience was a freaking creepy Rabbid staring at your soul before going BAAAAAAA in your heads.

The funny thing is that this is the closest we ever got to an actual Rayman 4: in this version of raving rabbids, the creepy bunnies were supposed to be actual threats, with a tragic past and a plan to get revenge on the species that bullied and harassed them..... kinda funny how things turned out!

In that regard, this game does a lot if you are a Rayman 2 fan: the atmosphere is creepy, our protagonist starts in prison, characters like Ly, GLobox and the Teensies shows up, and overall the tone of the lands of Dreams is similar to the ones from The Great Escape.

In terms of gameplay it also be seen as a tribute to Rayman 1: you got some decent 2D platforming for a GBA title, with really charming graphics and creative worlds, that evoce the same oniric nature of levels like Music Land.
Even concepts from the scrapped Rayman 4 can be seen here, with Rayman cosplaying different things like "punk" and "grannies" to solve puzzles and gain additional powers. It's wacky and goofy, definitely better than what Ubisoft did to the rest of the Raving Rabbids games.

As a platformer.... it can be really slow. Some levels and bosses can drag for too long, and the overall flow of the movement and the level design can be tedious to go through.
It's not the best the GBA or the Rayman series has to offer, but I still remember this weirdo title very fondly.

- Decent, reminiscent of the original Rayman
- Good throwback play, but not worth a replay

In an alternate universe, we could have had a dope 3D version of this game as an actual Rayman 4. At least we have this.

Perfectly fine GBA platformer. The "true" vision of Rayman Raving Rabbids - and I kinda dig it.

É incrível como um jogo da versão de gba é melhor que que o jogo principal. É uma gameplay se baseando no clássico Rayman com um gráfico lindo e pixelart lindíssima de bem feita.
