Honestly this game was a nice little surprise! I really enjoyed my time with this game.
Remilore is a top down rougelite action game that is on every console including PC. It really seems this game flew under the radar for most people as I don't see many people talk about it which is a bummer because its a nice little gem.
There is a storymode which is what I played through and it will take you about 3ish hours depending on how good you are at the game. While the length may seem short there is actually reasons to replay the game multiple times as once you finish the story you can replay the levels like a traditional rougelite without the story attached. Why ? because you can unlock more weapon types to try out and upgrade your character further and further. There is also different types of modes like perma death or one hit death modes allowing for you to change up a run if you seek.
The story is basic and really doesn't do anything but it can be fun at times with the dialogue but overall you can tell the story was not the main focus with this game.
Combat is tight and fun and will keep you entertained throughout the game. Honestly my only complaints would be that it does get repetitive and the enemy variety is pretty lack luster on top of bosses that frankly were not that fun.
But don't let that stop you from trying this gem out I really do think its a fun game BUT there is one issue that holds me back from fully recommending it. The regular price is $40 which imo is way to much I would highly recommend this game on sale however its a worthy purchase during a good sale :)
