pure slop i only played cause its name is Retro yeah. if the PS2 isn't retro then why is this on it huh?

Anyways it's arcade game clones that's obvious. They all have a sort of space theme but that's really just cause a space background is cheap yeah. If there's something I have to say about the individual ones I'll say it.

Gobbler=Pac-Man
It has that sin of letting ghosts go into the warps like Baby Pac-Man. Aside from that there's dead ends that ghosts tend to wander in front of when the pellets there are all I need left. Did any of the official Pac-Man sequels have dead ends? Seems like they wouldn't work well for it.
Roids=Asteroids
haha steroids. Also the playfield is larger than the screen but it still has wraparound so you can unknowingly wrap around into an asteroid.
Laser Command=Missile Command
Games derived from Missile Command feel a lot rarer than the rest of these at least. Console games rather than flash games at least.
Galaxy Wars=Space Invaders
Bounce & Break=Breakout
Hopper=Frogger
Bubble Puzzle=Bust A Move
This is the only 90s game cloned.
Light Racer=Snake
Seems to be based on Tron's lightcycles specifically.

I wasted half an hour of my life on this. dont do that.

Well, this is certainly a collection of games that exists alright.

Retro (brought to us by shovelware masters Phoenix Games and Aqua Pacific) is a collection of 8 classic games that are supposedly meant to bring out your nostalgia and tug on those heart strings but instead remind you that this is just cheap shite and you can find these games elsewhere.

You've got Gobbler which is a crap version of Pac-Man,
Roids which is just Asteroids,
Galaxy Warz is Space Invaders,
Hopper is basically Frogger but in outer space,
Bubble Puzzle is essentially Bust A Move if it had no heart
and of course your obligatory Breakout clone Bounce n' Break amongst the 8 games on offer here.

Thing is, absolutely none of these games play as good as the real thing and why on Earth would you want these pale imitations when the real deal is right there with other titles on the PS2?

You actually want Pac-Man? Go get that Namco Arcade collection or heck even Pac-Man World 2.

Looking for Space Invaders? I'm sure there's that anniversary collection on PS2.

Asteroids? The Atari Anthology's got ya covered.

There is really no excuse for this crap to exist at all other than to trick poor unsuspecting people and old folk. Most definitely the old folk.
