Not much to say on this one, honestly.

It's short and effective at what it does, the mechanic is creative and it's nicely inmersive. Only criticism is that the end screen breaks inmersion a little but by that point the game is over so not like it matters.

Overall, it's a nice little things for the 2 dollars it costs.

ring ring is a very short indie horror game released via itch.io and part of the ginormous BLM bundle. That's the only reason I even found out about this game and while it's essentially really simple and short it was a pretty engaging experience.

The entire game revolves around a strange rotary phone that takes up the entire screen. You are free to dial any four-digit number and listen to the stranger on the other end of the call but you also get calls from other people, including someone who calls himself George and occasionally gives you some explanation and hints as to what's going on.

This is a game that is best experienced without knowing much about it as the effect of it can be taken away pretty quickly through spoilers. So I suggest you just go and give it a whirl yourself. Its retail price is $2 as of right now and in my opinion, the developer deserves that for having this pretty clever little idea and packaging it in a fairly polished way.
The concept of only having this phone in front of you with an immense amount of number combinations to try out makes for a pretty intriguing time trying out different things. The character named George delivers the rest to give the whole thing some purpose.

It's honestly a game that I would love to see expanded on. This feels like a proof of concept for something that could become the core of a bigger, more expansive game. I'm curious if the developer is gonna create something similarly fun in the future.
