SD Gundam G Next is a Strategy game, developed by Japan Art Media (JAM) and published by Bandai, which was released in Japan in 1995. It is a Satellaview-compatible Slotted Cartridge game. The game was playable on its own without any data packs, it was playable in conjunction with 8M Pack data downloaded via the BS-X cartridge, and it could also be used together with the separately released Write-protected memory pack, Unit & Map Collections (SHVC-039).

The kids do seem to like the Gundam, don’t they? This is another one of those delightful strategy mecha games with zero plot. Just like the actual series! Hahaha! Ahem.
(wraith) calls these kinds of games “hexariffic”. I’m not inclined to disagree. You move around, then end your turn, then wait while the other guy moves around. Then there’s this weird Mode 7 thing where these Gundam attack this base, and there’s shooting, and you’re like “what in the hell!” And that’s it, really.
