Shark Jaws is a 1 player arcade game by Atari Inc. originally released in 1975. Atari head Nolan Bushnell originally tried to license the Jaws name for the game, but was unable to secure a license from Universal Pictures. Deciding to go ahead with the game anyway, it was retitled Shark JAWS, with the word Shark in tiny print and JAWS in large all caps print to create greater prominence. Bushnell also created a second hidden subsidiary corporation, Horror Games - the previous being Kee Games, to help isolate Atari from possible lawsuit. The player controls a deep-sea diver trying to catch small fish while avoiding a great white shark that is trying to eat him. Points are scored by running over the fish to catch them.

Very similar to Shark, shockingly.

This game is not at all fun, way too simple.

I "think" this would have been the first officially licensed game if the deal hadn't gone through. Anyway, very similar to Gotcha, but with the added motivation of collecting fish before the shark gets you, so that's good. You could argue that you're behaving more like real sharks do in this one.

"Creo" que ésta habría sido la primera obra basada en una licencia dentro de los videojuegos, si al final hubiera habido trato. De todos modos, se trata de un juego parecido a Gotcha pero cuentas con la motivación adicional de recolectar peces antes de que el tiburón te atrape, así que resulta interesante. Se podría decir que te tienes que portar de una forma parecida a como los tiburones en la vida real lo hacen.
