Pretty dated and low budget but a very good entry into the series for me. I started reading A Study In Scarlet because of how much I was enjoying this game and now I'm intending to read all the Sherlock Holmes books and I've bought the Frogwares bundle on Steam. That chase scene was hillariously jank.

I enjoyed it a good bit but the dated AND low-budget presentation really hurt it at times. Writing was also odd at times, and some puzzles feel like you really need to use the in-game strategy guide to even know what to do (like that one cipher). Really dig how weird it can be though.

The very best, and very worst, of all its genres. Very, very fun, as long as you use the hint system a lot.
