I remember this game as the one that finally forced my parents to buy a Voodoo 3 for our aging HP Pavilion desktop; I wouldn't say it was worth the hassle, though, as Force Commander is generally full of jank and disappointment. The 3D battleground, while it sounds good on paper, sets the stage for a ton of pathing errors and unresponsive units. The story's decent, though; to charge through it, I entertained myself by spawning hundreds of Darth Vaders in the console. Good times.
