The object of Starship 1 is to destroy alien spacecraft while maneuvering through star and asteroid fields. The game uses a first person perspective on a black-and-white monitor. Compared to common arcade games of the time, Starship 1 was comparatively advanced, but used quite a bit of analog technology that would become less common in arcade games in following years.

A simple first person shooting space game for the 70s. Throw your coin in this one and you'll find yourself catapulting through space at a tremendous speed as spaceships fly towards you and... somehow horizontally across the screen while keeping your speed too... best not to think on that too much.
Use your controls to fly your ship in 360 degrees of 2D freedom, dodging ships and shooting the ones you can. You can play until your fuel runs out, with the goal being to simply get a high-score. It's fun for what it is. If you're playing a 70s game it's best not to hope for too much more than some light entertainment for a few minutes.
3 - Decent: Fun but not really "good"
