As the game opens, Strong Bad's FunMachine (an Atari 2600-like video game system) suddenly breaks. Strong Bad does not have the money to get it fixed, however. In an attempt to get money, he organizes a Battle Royale of the Bands, complete with local bands and celebrity guest stars—the 80's hair band Limozeen. When this still does not cover the fee, Strong Bad is forced to compete with his own rock band and claim the cash prize.

Strong Bad has another great episode! The Stakes aren't as crazy as episode 2, but it's still fun to watch Strong Bad attempt to rig a battle of the Bands in order to make money to fix his Fun Machine. The puzzles you solve in this episode to get bands to sign up are great. From helping Homestar with his food related audition song, to framing Coach Z to make Bubs think that he's reliving his deliquent days. This episode also fixes some issues that have been prevelant in other episodes such as having the Teen Girl Squad comic not a playable Minigame. That being said, the game still has a problem with locking you out of content that you can't access in the Extended Play, once again forcing you to replay the whole game again if you're going for 100%. Still, the game is very much worth playing. To quote the timeless band Limozeen: ROCK AND ROLL!
