Its good, dont get me wrong its good but the exploration is not as good as the original, i get its meant to be smaller and all but the giant ice worm plays a literal minor role, the story is too in your face to feel ominous like the original did and the ending is a bit unsatisfactory, though its very cool to see a precursor and get on a ship by them and all, it still not a great ending and definetaly not as good as the original

No meaningful changes from the gameplay of the original, a pretty high bar already. On-foot exploration is a chore. The undertones of mystery, frailty, and bittersweet solitude are drowned out by an implausibly poised protagonist's dialogue and quips.

what a let down, took everything cool (aka baller ass leviathans) and just proceeded to scrap it all

couldnt really capture what made the first game so great imo but its still fun in its own way

Very similar to the first game
Many improvements to the gameplay elements. A lot of new mechanics that are very nice. The material grind is substantially lowered in this game which is nice.

Environmentally and story wise this game is a bit worse. The progression is a lot harder to follow, and many times you are completely in the dark with no clear objective.

This game does not share a similar story or feel to the first game. Rather than a lonely mystery, this game includes characters and story elements that the first lacked. Some people hate it and some like it. Really a mixed bag, but I found it enjoyable.

Great sequel! Good just for the fact that they didn’t ruin anything introduced in the first game. Although not as novel as the first game, obviously.
