My first beat em up as a kid. It’s fun but simple I like how you have to use the Titans for their unique abilities and for certain enemies. It’s simple and short

It's a 2D platformer-brawler that has puzzle elements to it, released during the time Teen Titans was airing.
The animation is actually very good with quite nice sprites that encapsulates the vibe of all the single members.
The movement is not great and the battles get repetitive as soon as you beat 5 enemies, so I dropped it.
Would have loved it when I was 6, right now at 24 it doesnt really do that for me.

I don't remember how much I ended up getting through as a kid, I remember playing it a lot but not making progress after a certain point. Maybe I did beat it but I'll never know

Teen Titans is a side-scrolling beat 'em up game released for the Game Boy Advance back in October 2005 during the shows run on Cartoon Network. As an avid fan of the show I decided to give this game a try out of sheer nostalgia and, while I wasn't impressed, I wasn't truly disappointed either thanks to my already low expectations.

During each of the games levels the player takes control of the entire Teen Titans team as they defeat enemies and eventually reach a boss fight. The player controls one Titan at a time, but is able to swap to any other Titan team member but holding down the Left Trigger button and selecting their preferred character with the D-Pad. Each Titan has their own special attacks and abilities with Robin attacking with his staff, Beast Boy turning into animals, Cyborg shooting rockets, Starfire firing off energy blasts, and Raven using her magic to defeat enemies. Besides these special attacks and abilities, and Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy's abilities to fly, all of the Titans are essentially identically. There may be slight deviation in their jump height or attack power, but otherwise one Titan is just as capable as the others in a fight. The only real reason to swap to a different team member is to solve a platforming challenge or to attack that team members corresponding enemy color - Beast Boy is strong against green enemies, Robin is good against red, Rave against purple, etc.

Overall, Teen Titans is a fine game but could be better if not for the incredibly repetitive combat, nonexistent enemy variety, and equally nonexistent plot. I wouldn't say it is a bad game, but it isn't very good either. If you enjoy the Teen Titans show and are looking for something to relive childhood memories, this game isn't a terrible option.

Great beat-em up game that does well to emulate the show's tone

The game is not bad, but isn't the most fun of the similar games for GBA or any other platform. Battles are a getting boring and repetitive after a while, though the game is not long to beat. Heroes' abilities are not that fun and interesting, and Beast Boy is quite weak compared to others.
There are some bugs here and there, like when flying up against flying enemy hero, or when the final boss glitches into the wall, causing to restart the level from the beginning, but nothing too critical.
