i put this game above wrath of heaven for a lot of reasons but chief among them is because rin's aerial stealth kill is a swinging tornado DDT

The PS2 era tenchu games were on point and this one was not an exception the character Ayame was my favorite and really carried the series this era.
More like a spin-off than a sequel. A new, original story with a new protagonist. The game is good, but very basic. The narrative is very interesting, and the bosses are very charming, as always. I personally don't like the new protagonist's playstyle, but I like how different Rin and Ayame are from each other. The story is a very common one in ninja fiction, but it might entertain you. The gameplay is in its best form yet, and the sound quality is amazing, as Tenchu games can be. Overall, it's a good game.
